Greg Wood Wins Jury Trial in Neighbor Dispute

Neighbor Dispute and Elder Abuse Victory

We went to trial in Marin County representing an elderly woman standing up to a neighbor and developer taking liberties in building a new home. The case was technical, involving legal rights to improve public rights-of-way. The jury ultimately agreed with us and ruled that the defendant-neighbor was guilty of, not only trespass but, financial elder abuse entitling our client to recovery of her attorney’s fees and costs. Our client, who was born in England and survived the Battle of Britain and The Blitz, didn’t sue for the money. She sued to not be pushed over. We are glad we could win for her (and glad we got her fees paid too).
